City Manager's Office
City Manager David Brandt is serving as City Manager, City of Cupertino. He is charged with implementing policy decisions made by the elected Council, which he accomplishes through delegation to appropriate departments. He is also responsible for preparation of the annual city budget consisting of an operating budget of $65 million.
The City Manager supports programs that empower residents to "Build Community" in their neighborhoods. These programs include:
The Manager works closely with the city's public safety providers (Santa Clara County Sheriff and Santa Clara County Fire Department), as well as with the elementary, high school and college districts.

- Administrative Services, consisting of the City Clerk, Code Enforcement, Human Resources and Public Information divisions
- Community Development, consisting of the Planning and Building divisions
- Parks and Recreation, consisting of Administration, Cultural, Sports, Youth, Blackberry Farm, and Senior Center divisions
- Public Works, consisting of the Traffic & Engineering, Parks, Building Maintenance, and Environmental divisions
