Window Art Design 2023The Commission consists of nine members with the intention to include at least one person from each public middle school and public high school in Cupertino, if possible. Membership on the Commission is limited to Cupertino residents. Members may attend schools outside of the City limits, or be schooled at home. Commissioners must be entering grades 8 through 11 to apply. Teen Commissioners serve two-year staggered terms. The powers and functions of the Teen Commission are to advise the City Council and staff on issues and projects important to youth (also see Municipal Code 2.95.080 Powers and Functions).

  • Meeting times:  monthly September through May, second Wednesday at 6 p.m.
  • Term Length: 2 years

  • Introduction: The Teen Commission consists of 9 Cupertino youth who are specially selected by City Council to advise them on youth issues (and Cupertino’s future).

Our Cupertino Teen Commission is at the center of Cupertino’s future as they counsel City staff and council alike on what Cupertino citizens will want to see years down the road.

Membership on the Commission is limited to Cupertino residents. Members may attend schools outside of the City limits, or be schooled at home. Commissioners must be in 8th through 12th grade. Teen Commissioners serve two-year staggered terms.
