Green Building Ordinance     

The City of Cupertino is currently in the process of developing a Green Building Ordinance to support the use of healthy building materials and construction methods, and promote resource efficiency and conservation. The ordinance will address the design, construction, retrofit, operation and demolition of new buildings and existing buildings undergoing major renovations. Staff is working with green building consultant Global Green, to prepare the draft ordinance. Tentative public hearing dates to review and consider the draft ordinance are September 28 for the Planning Commission and either October 19 or November 2 for the City Council.
