The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider a recommendation regarding adoption of a Specific Plan for the Vallco Shopping District Special Area (“Vallco Special Area,”) which contains the vision and specific development parameters for redevelopment of the current Vallco Shopping District Special Area (the “Vallco Specific Plan”) and a Development Agreement proposed by the Vallco Property Owner, LLC. In addition, pursuant to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Planning Commission will also consider a recommendation regarding the Vallco Special Area Specific Plan Environmental Impact Report (EIR) (SCH No. 2018022021) prepared by the City to evaluate the environmental effects of the proposed project, prior to taking action on the project. Adoption of the Plan will require General Plan Amendments, and Zoning Actions, all of which will also be considered by the Planning Commission.
