David Wang |
David Wang is an independent fashion designer, materials engineer, and life-long resident of Cupertino. Through his designs, Wang aims to revitalize post-consumer materials and innovate at the intersection between fashion and materials science. He was drawn into fashion while pursuing a degree in engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a strong believer in integrating art with STEM in education and beyond. Wang is excited to be serving as an Arts and Culture Commissioner. He seeks to promote art that reflects and engages the vibrant community, encourage the next generation of artists and designers, and give back to the community he calls home. |
Kiran Varshneya Rohra |
Kiran Rohra is a licensed Realtor, with BS, MS, and MBA. She sees her profession as an extension of her involvement in the community. Bay Area resident for twenty-two years. She is active in her community as a school volunteer and parent scout leader. She has organized Diwali Festival, Holi, New Years Eve programs, and has served on the organizing committee for Fall Festival in Cupertino. Kiran is the president of Cupertino Library Foundation, member of Cupertino Rotary, and Chair of Housing Corporation. “Arts and Culture is a common language between all of us, it connects us, it allows us to understand each other and appreciate the richness of diversity. I would like to bring forward an agenda of ‘Multi-cultural’ theme in our community.” |
