Jennifer Shearin |
Jennifer Shearin became a Parks and Recreation Commissioner in 2023. Though a former automotive engineer, she currently devotes her time to volunteering. Jennifer has had several leadership roles in our community, including twice chairing the Cupertino Tournament of Bands festival and parade, leading her church’s governing board (St. Jude’s Cupertino), acting as a Cupertino Bicycle Pedestrian Commissioner, and working as a board member for several school PTAs and the community organization Walk-Bike Cupertino. She was honored by the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition as the 2020 Bicycle Person of the Year. She and her family enjoy our great parks, enrichment classes, festivals and events that we have in Cupertino, especially Shakespeare in the Park, Cupertino Fall Bike Fest, and rides along the Saratoga Creek Trail. Jennifer and her husband have raised three children in Cupertino, and are happy that they made the decision to come here after living in Michigan until 2009. You’ll likely find her out in a park or trail locally on her orange bike—say hello when you do! |
