The City Council reviewed and approved General Plan Amendment (GPA-2018-01,EA-2018-03), Development Permit (DP-2018-01), Architectural and Site Approval (ASA-2018-02), and Conditional Use Permit (U-2018-02) 4-1 (Willey voting no). Council did not conduct the first reading of Ordinance No 20-2195 and instead directed the Community Development Director to renegotiate the development agreement (DA) to increase the amount of the Community Amenity (public benefit) payment offered to the City from $500,000 to $1 million and clarify that the fees paid for shuttle transportation to and from the De Anza Hotel and regional airports and other significant destinations for City residents and other non-hotel guests will not exceed 50% of the fees paid by hotel guests (Scharf and Paul voting no).

This will be a hearing conducted virtually. A notification will be sent out prior to the hearing with details on how the public can participate.
Two items will be presented to the City Council for their consideration:
- Petition for Reconsideration of Council's 3/3/20 approval of the De Anza Hotel; and
- First reading of a Development Agreement for a new 155 room 7-story hotel (24-hour operations) with underground parking, event meeting rooms, a ground floor restaurant with separate bar and a rooftop lounge with a separate bar.

General Plan Amendment to demolish a commercial building and construct a new full-service boutique hotel with 155 rooms with amendments to hotel allocation, height, and setbacks.
