Qualifications

Volunteers must be current members of the Senior Center and 50+ in age.

• Selection of the volunteer is based on their qualifications for a specific assignment or project and the needs of the Senior Center as determined by the Senior Center staff.
• A volunteer cannot serve in a volunteer capacity where a conflict of interest exists.

Prospective volunteers must apply through the Volunteer portal. Apply to the Senior Center for evaluation by staff. Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an interview process, and are required to complete a fingerprinting background check.

Recording Volunteer Hours

Volunteers are required to keep track of their service hours by logging into the volunteer page. This can be done by clicking on Hours Log then input the activity, date, and number of hours and minutes. Click save to complete the service hours entry. Begin by clicking on Volunteer Login to the left.

Techie Teens is a summer volunteer opportunity for teens ages 14 to 18 to help seniors with their technology questions. Applications for the 2024 program are now closed. Check back March 2025 for information to apply for the program next summer.
