Universal access to public parks and recreation is our department's goal. Every day we are working hard to ensure that all members of our community have access to the resources and programming we offer.
Youth Scholarship Program
The City of Cupertino has a partnership with West Valley Community Services (WVCS) to administer the Scholarship Program for youth recreation programs/activities offered in the quarterly Recreation Schedule. Contact the Parks & Recreation office for program/activity eligibility exceptions. It is available only to Cupertino Residents and Cupertino Unified School District youth on a first-come first-serve basis until annual funds are used. Those who are interested should contact WVCS to setup an appointment at 408.255.8033 or 10104 N. Vista Drive.
A filled out Parks and Recreation Activity Registration Form must be submitted to WVCS for review and approval. Once the applicant is approved by WVCS, customers need to bring the approved registration form to the Quinlan Community Center front office to process the registration. For further questions or clarifications please contact the City of Cupertino's Park & Recreation office Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at 408.777.3120.
Stay Active Fund Program
The Stay Active Fund is about helping adults 50 plus to remain active, engaged, and participating in the Cupertino Senior Center. This fund provides assistance to offset the cost for senior center membership and registration for classes and events.
Membership Assistance
The membership scholarship covers at most 50% of the resident membership fee and requires that the applicant submit a payment of the remaining amount. To request participation in this program, please visit the Front Desk at the Senior Center to fill out an application form and submit payment.
50 plus Class Registration Assistance
The class and event scholarship allows a member to make a request, once per year, for a scholarship of 50% of the program fee for a class or event, not to exceed $20. The member must pay the remainder of the program fee. To request participation in the Stay Active Fund, please visit the Front Desk at the Senior Center to fill out an application form and submit payment.
