The City of Cupertino’s 2016 Bicycle Transportation Plan identifies and prioritizes improvements needed to enhance and promote safer bicycle transportation in the City. The number one priority project identified by the Plan was a separated Class IV bicycle lane on Stevens Creek Boulevard along the entire length of the Stevens Creek Blvd corridor.

Phase 1, between Wolfe Road and Tantau Avenue, was completed January 2021.

Phase 2 is expected to begin construction Winter 2023.

Phase 2 Project Description

The project is located on Stevens Creek Boulevard between Wolfe Road and Mary Avenue. Due to the length of the corridor, construction will be divided into 2 phases:

Phase 2A will construct a Class IV separated bikeway along both sides of Stevens Creek Boulevard from Wolfe Road to De Anza Boulevard.
Phase 2B will construct a Class IV separated bikeway along both sides of Stevens Creek Boulevard from De Anza Boulevard to Mary Avenue
