Contest Overview
Cupertino Safe Routes to School held a video competition for 6-12 grade students in the spring of 2021. We were looking for videos that advance the mission of Cupertino Safe Routes to School. Submissions needed to inspire people to walk, bike, scooter or take any other active transportation to school, or provide tips on how to be safe using active transportation. Video content could be in the form of a music video, short story, public service announcement, TikTok, animation, or any other type of video.

Announcing the Winning Video Contestants!!
We are happy to announce the winners of Cupertino's Safe Routes to School Student Video Contest for both the middle school and the high school levels. Students entered their video submissions into one of the two categories below.

Kudos to these amazingly talented students!!
Winning videos will be streamed in the lobby of City Hall and Quinlan Center when they are open to the public. They may also be played at schools, school events, or through bicycle education classes the City of Cupertino offers.
In September, winners received public recognition from City Council, a Certificate of Recognition, Cupertino Safe Routes to School gear, and the City Newsletter (the Scene) will include an interview with the creators of the winning videos in the December edition.
