History
Cupertino Safe Routes to School introduced Bike Challenges during September of 2020, to replace the City's annual Fall Bike Fest when it was not possible to hold in-person events due to COVID-19. Community members were given a chance to earn prizes for submitting proof of accomplishing a variety of bike challenges. It was such a successful program that a suite of challenges was run again the following year. Since then, Cupertino Safe Routes to School has partnered with the Cupertino Library to offer walking and biking activity challenges through the library's Summer Reading Challenges program.
